実際、年齢や性別によって求められるものは違ってきますよね。
でも、これから紹介するのは
老若男女関係なく！
喜ばれるプレゼントです。
それが『本』です。
今回は、ただの小説ではなく、宝物にしたくなるようなメッセージ性の高い本をセレクトしました。
・ショートストーリーで読み易い
・メッセージ性が高い

【あらすじ】
砂漠に不時着した「僕」が出会ったのは小さな王子さま。
大人には理解してもらえなかった、ボアの絵を理解してくれた王子さまに僕は心を惹かれる。
金持ちの大人や、自称有能な大人______。
私たちの周りに存在している大人たちと、私たち子供の決定的な違いが明らかに。
人生を歩んでいくことへワクワクするような物語。
挿絵が多く、読みやすい作品。
いちばんたいせつなことは、目に見えない。
星の王子さまより
王道の作品で、子供向けに見えるかもしれません。
でも、これは大人にこそ読んでもらいたいです。

物語は「王子さま」目線で進んでいきます。
色んな星を旅していくうち、人類の滑稽さや醜さが露わになっていきます。
私には、王子さまが旅した国一つひとつが「人それぞれの感性、価値観」でできているのかなぁ。
なんて考えられます。
そして、子供の「僕」がどれほど大切にすべき儚い感性を持っているか、が最終的には感じられました。
小学生でもかなり読みやすく、何度も読み返したいと思える一冊です。
また、年齢によって感じることが違うと思うのでプレゼントするのに適しています。

その老人は「プレゼント」という名の物語を若者に伝えてくれた。

・現実を生きること

現実を生きること
作中で、老人が若者に最初に教えたことです。
つまり、「今」を生きなさい。
ということです。
過去を悔やんでクヨクヨしたり、未来に不安を感じているなんて勿体無い。
今を、楽しめばそれでいいんです。
心配していても、未来はどうなるか分かりません。
しかし、心配しなかったら未来は分からないけど、今が楽しい。
あなたはどっちを選びたいですか？
現実を精一杯生きることで、十分に幸せを味わうことができます。
過去から学ぶこと
次に教わったことは「過去を捨てること」です。
過去は変えられません。
でも、いつまでもクヨクヨしてしまいます。
あなたの周りに、ネガティブな人がいたら、その人に教えてあげたいですね。
あるいは、この本をプレゼントするといいでしょう。
過去は捨てるのが良い、と若者は教わりました。
でも、そんなにキッパリと決められるなんてできません。
だから、学べばいいんです。
過去の失敗は捨てる前に、無駄にしてはいけない。

そして、同じ選択をしない。

未来の計画を立てること
現実ばかり生きていてはいけません。
仕事の納期のことも考えていないと、失敗を繰り返してしまいます。
そこで、大切にしたいのが「計画」です。
現実を生きながらも、「ここ行ってみたいな」「この日までに仕事を終わらせよう」と計画を立てる。
すると、現実は充実したものになります。
なぜなら、計画通りにものをこなせば、余った時間を趣味や家族に使えるからです。
時間管理がうまくいかない人、いつも機嫌が悪い人にもおすすめしたいですね。
目的を明確にすること
老人が最後に教えたのが、「目的」についてです。
若者は、
・何のために働くのか。
・どうして上手くいかないのか。
を考えたことがありませんでした。
なので、何も解決しなかったのです。
私も実際に、目的を明確にしてみました。
勉強する目的→生きていくために必要な知識を得るため。
友達を作る目的→毎日をより楽しくするため。
生きる目的→幸せになるため。世の中を少しでも良くするため。
これは、あくまでも私自身の考えです。
上記のように考えると、決められたドリルを大量にこなすことは「無駄」ということが分かります。
「無駄」を省くことによって、その時間を有意義なことに使えるのです。
すると、人生はより良いものに仕上がります。
このように、老人はたくさんのことを若者・読者に伝えてくれました。
これを多くの人と共有することで、その人たちを幸福へ導けるかもしれませんよ。

私は数ある名言の中から、

・「努力」より「夢中」
の二つの言葉が印象的でした。
楽しい人生が送れる65の方法がまとめられています。
